ShahRukh Khan & Gauri :The Real Love Story…...

Shahrukh’s personal story can never be complete if one were not to talk about his romance and subsequent marriage with Gauri Chhiba, the daughter of retired Major Ramesh Chhiba, who had been born a vegetarian, was a Hindu Brahmin, and even had a temple within his house. Shahrukh being a Muslim in India where religion plays a key role while deciding the destiny of marital alliances, his marrying Gauri whom he had met in 1984 and eventually married in 1991 was indeed a tough task to accomplish.

The relationship between the two had been kept under wraps, and understandably so because Gauri’s parents would not have accepted it. Or, so it seemed for quite some time even while the twosome continued to meet up for six long years. The youngest in a Punjabi joint family with around 15 members, that Gauri would marry someone from her community was a foregone conclusion.
As for Shahrukh, he was willing to do anything to get her in his life, and it is said that he had entered Gauri’s household by posing as Abhimanyu during the girl’s birthdayparty. Abhimanyu…. Who? Yes! The character that Shahrukh had just started to play in the television serial Fauji that was being directed by the retired Lieutenant Colonel Raj Kapoor. The serial based on life in the army had made Shahrukh’s character really popular, and people around even said that he looked quite a bit like Dilip Kumar when he attended the birthday party in Gauri’s house that day.
The story of Shahrukh and Gauri’s relationship continued to add a new chapter with every passing day, and not all of them were bliss-laden as is the case with all human relationships. He was tremendously, in fact uncomfortably possessive about his lady love, so much that he would pick up a quarrel with her even if she let her hair down… literally. Finally, Gauri lost her cool and realized that she wanted to get away from the emotional bedlam in 1989. Without informing Shahrukh, she came down to Mumbai with her pals just a day after the former had celebrated her birthday in his room by decorating it the best way he could have and giving her lots of presents.
t was when Gauri had left for Mumbai that Cupid shot that one decisive arrow. Shahrukh just had gone to the city of dreams where his love had gone, and he ended up telling everything to his mother who was supportive and open-minded as always. Not only did she give her son Rs 10,000, she also advised him to go to Mumbai and get his love back. Shahrukh went there with his friends, and what followed sounds like a chapter straight out of fictional romantic folklore.
In the huge city, he and his friends kept looking for Gauri, and especially around the beachees because of his awareness that she was attracted to them in a big way. On the last day of his stay in Mumbai, since he had run short of financial fuel obviously, a cab guy advised him to go to a place called the Aksa Beach. From there, they ferried across to a place called Gorai and, after searching frantically, managed to track her down when she was standing in the water! Once the duo saw each other, they embraced each other and started crying. That was the defining moment in their relationship, because it was clear to both of them that they need to be with each other all their lives.
The problem the couple apprehended was because of Gauri’s set-up that consisted of simple people who were loyal to Indian social norms and did not question the tenets of tradition: which, in this case, implied that having a son-in-law who belonged to a different religion. This was a thought that would have never crossed their minds. But the time when the twosome had to marry had to surface some day or the other, and that did happen in 1991. The couple went ahead and put up a notice for a court marriage which, according to the Indian marital laws, meant that their names were displayed in front of the court in a notice for one long month.
Shahrukh and Gauri had to hide the notice from their parents, so they did the most obvious thing. They gave a address and said it was their own. The poor fellow had to suffer the repercussions. The parochial among the Hindus made a group and shouted in front of his house, and so did their Muslim counterpart. During those 30 days, the life of his friend was absolutely miserable, but then both Shahrukh and Gauri did not have a choice because they were really concerned about the latter’s parents.
Those 30 days proved to be critical for the young couple. They worked hard towards convincing Gauri’s parents, and eventually managed to make them see their point of view. That they would have a court marriage after the notice period got over was decided upon, and it was on August 26 that this ceremony was finally solemnised in the court. They also got married in keeping with Hindu and Muslim traditions seperately. In fact, it was Gauri who insisted that they should have a Muslim wedding too, and the roots of a secular family set-up had been firmly established be them.
This was the time when Shahrukh was making his initial forays in Bollywood, and among his forthcoming films were Deewana and Raju Bangaya Gentleman while he was shooting forDil Aashna Hai as well.
Now they both are very happily married.....! And, even have two kids - Aryan & Suhana......

Friendship vs. Love

Friendship is a quiet walk in the park with the one you trust.
Love is when you feel like you are the only two around.

Friendship is when they gaze into your eyes and you know they care.

Love is when they gaze into your eyes and it warms your heart.

Friendship is being close even when you are far apart.

Love is when you can still feel their hand on your heart
     when they are not near.

Friendship is hoping that they experience the very best.

Love is when you bring them the very best.

Friendship occupies your mind.

Love occupies your soul.
Friendship is knowing that you will always try to be there
     when in need.

Love is when you will give up everything to be at their side.

Friendship is a warm smile in the winter.

Love is a warming touch that sends a pulse through your heart.

Love is a beautiful smile to which nothing compares:
A tender laugh, which opens your heart,
A single touch that melts away your fears,
A smell that reminds you of the tenderness of heaven,
A voice that reminds you of the innocence of youth.

Friendship can survive without love.

Love cannot live without friendship.

Attraction Vs Love

When we first meet someone, regardless of the way or medium that we meet, we are either attracted or not. Attraction, when pursued, eventually grows into levels of friendship and then may cross the barriers we build up, to protect ourselves, and grow into love.
Attraction usually involves an instant decision of like or dislike, based on our own subconscious criteria. If we meet someone in person, we tend to size them up physically. If we meet through letters or phone conversation or internet chat, we tend to size them up, over a longer term, by how well they converse and how interesting (or complimentary) they are while we interact with them.
It is true that people can act however they want, be whatever they want to be, over the internet. But eventually the true person leaks through the cracks and we begin to see their true self. Moral of the story? It’s best to be your real self. You may eventually want to meet the person on the other end of the conversation.

On the other hand, when you do meet the ‘real’ person on the other end, remember that you have grown to like that person because of what’s inside their mind and heart. You have found a potential ‘soul mate’ who thinks as you think and feels much the same way that you feel.

No one is perfect. We all have our own flaws and shortcomings. The concept of finding the ‘right’ person is good. The concept of finding the ‘perfect’ person is improbable and discouraging, because ‘perfect’ doesn’t exist.

The way this person looks, their physical appearance, isn’t as important as their inner looks, or soul. What we see is what we get, and hopefully the heart ranks the highest. We fall in love with someone’s soul, not the shape or size of their body. And although a certain number of things can be done to improve physical appearance, that shouldn’t be our main criteria or requirement for friendship or companionship.

We fall in love with their heart. With their inner self. With their true being. And that’s what matters most.

♥ ♥ஜLove Poemsஜ♥ ♥

Open my heart
Open my heart,
seeing that you already have the key,
Open my heart to meet with the pleasure of your life,
Open my heart,
So far you will find your heart desire,
Open my heart to come accross your life wonders,
Open my heart,
To determine that it was for good,
Open my heart,
To get to know utterly its aspiration,
Open my heart,
In order to find what i devoted for you,
Open my heart,
That's the only way to verify the truth,
Open my heart,
To find no difficulty to trust me,
Open my heart,
This where resides the true love,
Open my heart,
I'm so exhausted to give evidence of love,
Open my heart,
I can't resist no more, even for a second,
Open my heart.
...and that would be a passionate triumph!

Kissing the Rain
I was miserable and paining
And waiting for you, for sure
Thinking now that you'll be coming
We'll be together like before

Without doubt, you came
But with a misunderstanding
Throwing on me, the blame
Of someone elses planning

You gave no time to explain
Just turned and walked away
Leaving me in this anguish again
Once more; feelings going astray

Now I'm standing here
Within all the sorrow
Wishing there were another
Life I could borrow

But even then I wonder
If you would still do the same
Leaving me in this weather
Making me endure all the shame

That I dont really deserve
But you want me to feel
Threatening the immortal love;
You've brutally tried to kill

Drops are now drenching me
So I'm kissing the rain
For all I could wish it to be
Your forgiveness washing away the pain

Because of you
I mistook by trying to ameliorate,
I tried to listen to you the best I can.
As for school, sometime I ran late,
Just by attempting to be your last man.

I ran out of time when we're talking.
I can't discern mentally days & nights.
I think more than twice before acting,
Just to avoid depressions and fights.

I rarely interact with my best friend,
Just to win nothing, but your faithfulness,
And not to bring about a tragic end
To our relationship in good success.

I am an ardent admirer,
Who's trying to get you attention,
And, often, a good inqirer,
Who's trying to get a special mention.

I knew, I disobeyed sometime,
Not to loose you, but to keep you.
I'm proud of the fact I've done no crime
And I've done all of them because of you!

Patience
Your words vibrate through my soul
Awakenings and racing thoughts on the go
My heart has been hit
You need to know

My friends flash warnings
Love and concern casts their doubts
How could I know
They steer me away

In the shadows I stay
Not letting go
My mind has lost control
I just don't know

Ulterior motives
Player on the move
All possibilities
What do I have to lose

I voice my fears
Heart already shakes and quivers
You listen and feel
"Patience" you reveal

I'm scared
I'm excited
I'm anxious
I'm delighted

Emotions unlocked
I let you in
Feelings enhanced
There's no return

Your words sing to me
Time soars by
I'm entranced by you
Pure laughter and joy

I feel a great loss
When we're unable to talk
I can never get enough
You've become a part of me

I follow my heart
It's all I can do
Time will tell
If our love is true

"Patience" you say
Patient I will be
Shutting out
The voices surrounding me..

Toss and Turn
I toss and turn in my sleep
Thoughts of you in my mind
Slowly creep

Your indifference
Gets me so
I can’t seem to let go

Your warmth
Your tight embrace
Your smiling face

They haunt my thoughts
I can’t forget
I still haven’t heard from you yet

My friends console
Tell me to move on
I can’t seem to let go

Your lack of care
Your silence
Were you ever there

I toss and turn in my sleep
Thoughts of you in my mind
Slowly creep

True Love
When I first met you
I felt something was different
I knew you felt it too
But I didn?t know how to handle it
It was something my heart, never knew
So I couldn?t accept it

As time went by
I went along with it, but at the same time
I felt like I could fly
It was such a mystery to me
But I didn?t care
I knew eventually that I would see

Now for the first time ever
You had opened my heart
Something no one else could do, and I mean never
It was such a wonderful start
To a path I never wanted to part
Wow, I thought, I want this forever

We were two wholes combined
The last link in a chained circle
To a complete happiness together
It seemed as though our souls had rhymed
It was simply the best
I couldn?t have imagined anything better

Although there were times when we would fight
It would always work out for the better
Because we were just so tight
Nothing could stop us, not distance or time
It was as though we were invincible
And I wanted your heart to always be mine

Our love was too true for each other
Even if we would split up
The love would always remain forever
I know they say what?s meant to be, will be
But in my heart, I know you are the only one for me
You are my soul mate, my friend, and my lover

I love you, and I always will.

In quest of love
I slide along the edge of the stream,
Crossing the narrow road leading to it,
Search in the depth of the fussed ocean,
To find the portion reserved for me!

I wander throughout the universe,
Tracking the silvery, sparkled stars.
Conspicuously, I've was so exhausted,
My naive heart chose not to surrender!

I interrogate the reflective cloud,
It points me to the house of obscurity,
I hasten to go to the peaceful spot,
There was not even the shadow of it!

I had even walked out of boundaries,
To know whether which direction it took,
I crapped out and fell on the wrong road.
However, I was hopeful and undismayed!

Lastly, a quiescent mind appealing me,
Thus, my heart plunges under the ocean,
To strike the accuracy of the true love.
Meanwhile, I hope that it will discern it!

I Miss You
I Miss You
silhouettes dance within my heart
casting omnipresent shadows of you
and yet there remains an echo
an eerie silence of loneliness
deafened by dreaded emptiness
in a place you once tread

those boyhood memories remain
absence the fondness you shared
the gentleness of your touch
supported by words of compassion
always teaching, reaching
no longer can I feel you

though I see you daily
from visions of the past
my soul aches to know
how long does death last....

Bob Shank Sept. 28th, 2005
Dedicated to my Aunt, who was
crippled from polio, and yet she
raised me, and taught me so much
about compassion and humility for
which I will be forever grateful...

All because of you
When you first arrived,
I thought you was just another girl,
But over time you became much more,
You became my whole world.

I know that it has only,
been but a few days,
But somehow you have poisoned my mind,
You have put me into a daze.

I don't know how you've done it,
This is all very confusing to me,
But when I close my eyes,
You are all I see.

Even now as I write this poem,
All because of you,
I can't think of what to write,
My tongue has become tied too!

I don't know how to describe this feeling,
I don't know what to say,
The only thing I know,
Is that you re perfect in every way.

All because you came into my world,
I no longer know what to say or do,
All except these three little words,
"I love you"

Hey People we'll be posting new poems ,every alternate day. So. keep reading and commenting ,if you like our blog .

*****The Meaning Of Love*****

Since a very long time ago, people have searched for the meaning of love. But even the great philosophers, with their profound definitions, could not fully touch its true essence. In a survey of 4-8 year olds, kids share their views on love. But what do little kids know about love? Read on and be surprised that despite their young and innocent minds, kids already have a simple but deep grasp of that four-letter word.

"Love is that first feeling you feel before all the bad stuff gets in the way."

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."

"When someone loves you, the way she says your name is different. You know that your name is safe in her mouth."

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other."

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your french fries without making them give you any of theirs."

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired."

"Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My mommy and daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss but they look happy and sometimes they dance in the kitchen while kissing."

"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate."

"Love is hugging. Love is kissing. Love is saying no."

"There are 2 kinds of love. Our love. God's love. But God makes both kinds of them."
